For one-time North East Essex compatriots Bullard and Allard it is something of a reunion, a re-imagining of self composed pieces and arranged standards in an intimate musical setting.

Expect soaring melodies, a shifting harmonic landscape, infectious rhythmic grooves, and a repartee from Bullard described by one satisfied listener as “like ‘Thought for the Day’ but better”.

Sam Bullard (saxophone) has performed across the world with ensembles including the BBC Big Band, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the BBC Concert Orchestra, the Heritage Orchestra, the London Jazz Orchestra, the Syd Lawrence Orchestra, the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, and worked in many West End theatre bands. He has recorded for television programmes 'Downton Abbey', 'Mr Selfridge' and many other commercial recordings.

Chris Allard (guitar) has recorded six original albums, garnering critical acclaim including four stars in Jazzwise, Jazz Journal, Guitarist and BBC Music magazines. He has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, the Pyramids in Cairo, Montreux Jazz Festival, O2 Arena London and worked with Jacqui Dankworth MBE, Omar Kamal, and the BBC Big Band.

Joe Pettitt (bass) is a busy session and jazz bass player. He has directed the LP Swing Orchestra since 2010. Joe has recorded and toured with artists including

Burt Bacharach, Michael Feinstein, Clare Teal, Puppini Sisters, Curtis Stigers, Joe Stilgoe and Ronnie Scott’s Big Band.

He has also performed with the Royal Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Symphony, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and John Wilson Orchestras.
