BOOM with DJ Brockie & more!
BOOM Summer Session! Who’s ready to catch a little jungle fever this summer? That’s right – BOOM is back on 5th July with an absolutely massive lineup! We’ve gone all in to bring you a night to remember – and trust us, you won’t want to miss this one. Headlining the night is none other than the legend DJ BROCKIE – joining the BOOM family for the very first time! Before tearing up the jungle scene, Brockie was spinning swing, soul, hip-hop and ragga – a true selector with deep roots. It wasn’t long before he discovered hardcore, setting him on the path to becoming a jungle icon. Brockie has been a cornerstone of the scene since 1988, and in 1991, he co-founded theiconic Kool FM 94.5 – the longest-running and most influential drum & bass station in the world. Next up… We’re over the moon to welcome back DJ AURA to BOOM on 5th July! Active since 1994, Aura (aka Kristan Fawcus) has been a key figure in the drum & bass, jungle, and breakbeat scenes, with early influences from The Prodigy, SL2 and Shades of Rhythm. Originally known as Eclipse, he earned the name Aura after a legendary late-night set at the Honey Club, when a raver said he "omitted an aura to the crowd." Fast forward to today, he runs Canopic Recordings, hosts a monthly LIFE FM show, and continues to tear up parties across the UK. Expect deep, dark DnB with a touch of old-school flavour — this is not one to miss! Representing the ladies at our Summer Session is the brilliant DJ Cuppa T — and we’re buzzing to have her back! Raised in Forest Row, Cuppa T (aka Tamsin) is a London-based multi-genre DJ with a deep love for DnB, jungle, and reggae. Her sets are always full of energy, positive vibes, and absolute bangers 🔥 With reggae at the heart of her sound, she blends vocal samples, heavy basslines, and classic riddims to create a unique and infectious vibe. Starting out by playing parties and perfecting her craft at home, she’s been spinning professionally for over three years. A resident DJ at BOOM since 2019, she’s also been making waves across London, hosting her own successful events. This summer, you can catch her at: Good Vibrations Society (Ashdown Forest), Forest Row Festival, The Vinyl Touch, London, Reggaetown London, Hootananny Brixton, and Vibroniks Bass Fest Sussex. We're also super excited to welcome Zenmonkey – the DJ and producer alias of Damron, based in London! A recognised name in the breakbeat and UK breaks scene, Zenmonkey first gained attention during lockdown with his high-energy online DJ shows. Familiar to fans of BreaksFM, he’s also contributed guest mixes to Southside Breaks, further cementing his reputation. In 2022, he teamed up with veteran DJ and producer Dead Bonsai to form the dynamic duo MINT. Since then, they’ve released breakbeat tracks on respected labels including Dirty Kitchen Rave, Raveart Records, Samay Records, and Diesel Recordings. Zenmonkey has also dropped solo releases on Elektroshok and DKR alongside SYNDKT. Now collaborating closely with Dirty Kitchen Rave and broadcasting on the rising platform Sessions Radio, Zenmonkey is set to make serious waves in 2025. Expect plenty of fresh music and remixes coming soon – this year is shaping up to be a big one for breakbeat and bass lovers alike!
